The guide
About
A guide to classical Italian cloth, and the shoes from England, Italy, and Spain worn with it.
The brief
Italian cloth, from a soft jacket to a shirt or a knit, and shoes from England, Italy, and Spain. The shop shows what those houses have in stock.
The seller
The retailer is the seller. This site has no cart and no checkout. A listing with a price continues to the shop.
The line
The list stays inside that brief. A large store is included when it sells this clothing. A shop outside it is left out.
How the site is kept
The Look Film is AI-generated. So are the photographs and films in the Lookbook, and an issue that uses stock photographs instead says so at its foot. The On model views are AI-generated too. The pictures carry no mark of their own: each one's description (its alt text) says it is AI-generated, and this page says so. The pieces in them are real products sold by the shops we link to, but a generated picture can differ from the piece in cut or colour. Check the shop's own photographs before you buy.
The looks on the home page are chosen by rules and judged by an AI stylist. Their pieces are the shops' own product photographs, with the background removed by AI.
Most listings are refreshed once a day, and each maker's full range twice a week. A price here can lag behind the shop. The shop's own page has the final word.
Once a day we check every piece shown in the film, the home page looks, and the On model views. A piece gone in every size on two checks in a row leaves the film's list and is replaced in its look, and the film chapter that wore it is usually re-shot. In the Lookbook, a piece the shops no longer hold shows as unavailable.
Using the site
Saved pieces are kept in this browser, on this device. There is no account, so they do not follow you to another browser or device, and clearing this site's data in your browser removes them.
Price alerts are set up on the Saved page. We send one email to confirm your address, and nothing more until you press its link. After that you get at most one email a day, and only when a saved piece drops in price by 5% or more or comes back in your size. Every alert email has a link to stop the alerts.
A price marked ≈ was converted from the shop's currency at the European Central Bank's reference rate and rounded. The shop charges in its own currency, so the amount you pay can differ a little.
Style with AI, on the Saved page, sends the pieces you selected, and the dress code and season you chose, to an AI model, which builds up to three looks around them from pieces in stock. Nothing about you is sent. When the model is not available, the looks are put together by fixed rules instead.
