Crockett and Jones was founded in Northampton in 1879 by James Crockett and Charles Jones. The firm specialises in Goodyear-welted shoes and still makes them in Northampton, at its Perry Street factory. Sources give different dates for when it moved into that building, between 1890 and 1897. Its lasts are the rounded English kind.
